Welcome to “5 More Minutes” beach house located near the ICW and Wooded section of Oak Island NC. This open floor plan home on pilings is located on the west side of the island and features a three-bedroom (three-bathroom)/two-full-bathroom unit. Oak Island offers free parking and is a short one-mile walk or drive to the beach. The small town of Oak Island is a family-friendly beach community with amazing sunsets and uncrowded beaches. The space: Things to note: *Beaches do not have lifeguards. *Bottom floor room may be occupied by Host or Host’s family during your stay. The only space shared is the driveway and backyard. If the bottom floor apartment is occupied, you will be notified prior to check in. In which case, the driveway will be shared with the occupant of the first floor. *Home has outside security cameras to monitor the outside gates. These are not on when the home is rented. *Hurricane season is June 1 to November 1. This area does get hurricanes and the town may require mandatory evacuation. Bridges to Oak Island will close with winds sustained at 45 MPH or greater. *Home is not suitable for someone with pet allergies. *Our home has professional pest control but we can not 100% get rid of Palmetto bugs. As with many coastal beach areas, Oak Island has “no-see’um’s”, black flies, mosquito’s, snakes (yes some are poisonous), Alligators, Deer, Stingrays and even sharks. Bed and bath linens provided, no additional charge. Large open kitchen, fully stocked with spices/pots/pans/utensils/serving dishes/griddle/brewed coffee machine/waffle maker/air fryer. Private wood fence in the backyard available for guests to use. Open floor plan with 3 bedrooms/2 full bathrooms. We welcome up to 6 guests however, the “Beach theme” room is the smallest bedroom (queen bed) and that space may be better suited for 1 adult or 1 or 2 kids. Quiet street near ICW and 1 mile from the free public beaches. Large driveway that can easily park 2 cars. Large enough to hold your personal boat. Home is on pilings, stairs required to access the home. Large covered and screened in back porch. 3 Tvs with Netflix, Hulu and Disney +. Gas grill and outdoor seating. Outside shower with hot/cold water. Beach items are provided (3 beach chairs, 2 umbrellas, beach toys and beach wagon, 3 fishing poles). High speed WiFi throughout the home.
